SEO and The Time Factor

Most of us know that Time is almost #1 factor in everything living in the universe. Definitely it is not only #1 factor of everything around the web technologies but it is the base fundamental  foundation of it all. (I believe).

When it comes to "time", you may think of these question tags:
when?
How long?
Since when?
How fast?
It could be difficult to fulfill these questions to be answered from both sides. Search Engine Crawler and Web Development. Next generation Crawlers has been set to rank the fastest loading pages. So your answer should be "Yes, I am fast." or "yes, my loading time is a lighting speed." just few Milli seconds.
  • Faster, make it load fast .. really fast.
Already sparky, These are the #1 requirement in the mind of the Search Engine leaders when they cashe/crawl a website. Begining of this year 2010 Google is beating Bing and Yahoo combined and all because of the speed of Search Crawlers. Many website (slower)  will disappear from the SERPs of the 1st page of Google others (quicker) will rise up.
  • Average time on site.
Let your website visits take as long as it can be in order to show the SE trackers/watchers  that your website carry the information the customer are looking for. Usually, visitors will stay if you answered all of the conversion questions by "Yes".
These are two quick conversion questions:
"Why am I here on this web page?" and "How will I get this product or service? - payment method, delivery and warranty".
  • At anytime your website should be always exist. It is not enough if your site up-time running is 99.9% it must be 100%. Your website should never go down at any moment, ever.
So what makes a website loading faster? we are not talking about the homepage only but the entire website content. Usually, website pages are consisting of these elements: Text, Images, Videos, Flash, Java, Meta Codes, Apps, Databases, Ajax tools and other special codes such tracking and ping tools. All together must load faster.
Thereafter, how you guarantee that your website is meeting Search Engine required loading speed? here are few of factors that will make your website as fast as it should be:
  1. Hosting: Your website hosting should near to your customer's zone.
If you think of moving your hosting server from overseas to North America just because your majority customers are in the US; this maybe Not enough.
  2. Hosting again: All your website content must be in one location.
All website content (i,e, Text, images and video) should be hosted in the same server.
  3. Avoid Slow Java applets.
  4. Avoid Flash as much as possible.
  5. Yeah, smaller images sizes and shorter pages text-wise.
  6. Clean up your Meta Tags.
The SEO Caveman Time is gone years ago. No more Keyword, description meta tags are required to rank any website, So do not waste your time writing them.
  7. Gzip method
  8. Load Balance
  9. Data Base driven content
  10. Simple and shorter code
The new Algorithm Google Caffeine is a real time web crawler that is focused on real time results. That mean quicker indexing and more priority to fresh content. This tells us that Google is also looking to give better points or rankings to quicker load time.
Google have also added a Lab section in the webmasters account which shows your sites performance. The section provides details of your websites load time speed and also points you in the right direction of how to speed up your sites load time speed.
Google Caffeine Sandbox is gone, that tells me that Caffeine is already running in most Data locations. (Google is No more need webmasters advices)
